If the child will be sleeping in the same room with you, you’ll have to realize that you and your partner will not be getting much sleep for awhile. The best thing to do is to keep your child in a separate sleeping space each night so that you can switch the nightly care up between you and your mate each night. This way you’ll get a few solid nights of rest each week.

Last but not least, you will want to make sure you have a couple of honest baby sitters. New mothers and fathers will not want to stay inside each night of the year with their babies. Its a good idea to have a few people that can look after your little one, should the need arise. Also you may have an emergency come up and you may be forced to part with your little one for a period of time. Its great to know that you’ll have someone ready to take care of your little one when this time comes.
